Register for an online account
Should you wish to apply for a licence for the first time, you must first register for an online account. Your online account
Existing licence holders, you can will need to have an online account to manage any licences you may hold, including any renewal applications.
Before you start:
- Most people find the online account easier to use on a device with a bigger display, ideally a laptop or a tablet
- If using a smart phone, you may have to rotate your phone between vertical (portrait) and horizontal (landscape) to see the form clearly.
To register an account: New applicants
- click on the following link https://licensing.epsom-ewell.gov.uk/online-application/
- To start the registration process, you will need to apply for a licence.. Click on the type of licence you will be applying for, either of the 'operator', 'vehicle' or 'driver' buttons.
- You will then go to a page that has two tabs 'Register' and 'login'. Complete all the required fields and click 'Apply now'
- The next screen will contain a code you can use to resume your application. Toy can ignore this code, as you can always login via https://licensing.epsom-ewell.gov.uk/ and clicking on the 'login' botton on the top right. Once logged in you can find and update any application you have started.
To register an account: Existing Licence Holders
- An e-mail was sent to all existing licence holders on 28 January 2026 that will allow them to register an account, and also link an existing licence to the at account.
- Find the e-mail sent 28/1/26 from '[email protected]' and follow the instructions in it. Please check your junk/spam folders if you can not find this e-mail in your inbox
- You will have been sent an e-mail for each licence you hold (ie driver and vehicle licence), however you will only be able to use this method to link the first licence. If you have more than one licence you want connected to your account, please e-mail [email protected]
Logging into your account
- Once you have create an account, you can log in via https;//licensing-epsom-ewell.gov.uk and clicking 'login' on the top right
- The email field is ‘Case’ and ‘Character’ sensitive (with no spaces added at the end).
Problems Logging in
- If you have changed your password, your devices 'memory' ('caching') can cause problems. To fix this this, close all open tabs of the browser you are using.
- Doing so will clear any caching that has been caused by failed log in attempts.
- If you or they are unsure on how to do this, restart your device as this will carry out the action of closing everything, and after restarting, allow you to begin a new browser session.

- Your account will appear differently depending on whether you are viewing on a smart phone or on a PC/laptop
